Yasemin Şener, who is the founder of pRchitect and also an architect, communicator and journalist, graduated from METU Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture in 1997. She served as a Correspondent in AD art+decor magazine of Doğan Burda Dergi Group in 1997-2000, Editor in ELLE magazine in 2000-2004 and Editor in Chief in AD art+decor magazine in 2004-2006. She went on to act as a Communications Executive in various companies of design and architecture and took the role of Corporate Communication Coordinator at EAA-Emre Arolat Architects in 2008-2012.
As a journalist and a communicator, Yasemin Şener always wanted to fill the void of a professional PR company which would solidly observe and fulfill the communication needs of architects, designers and building companies and therefore founded pRchitect in 2012. Şener has never drawn away from press and writing throughout her working life; she acted as the Editor in Chief of the Architecture supplement of Istanbul Art News from 2014 to 2016.
Şener moved the franchise of YAPI Magazine, which has been published for 45 years, under the roof of pRchitect near the end of 2017 and took up the role of Chief Editor in the magazine.
Şener still writes freelance articles for magazines of Maison Française, ELLE Decoration, Maison Française Real Estate, Life and Architecture and Turkishtime, serves as an editor for various architecture publications, acts as a member of the jury in many sector awards and contests and gives conferences in subjects of “Architecture and Communication” and “Architecture and Publishing”.
