Zeynep Aydemir will assume the role of moderator in the Open Boundary event that will take place as a part of the London Festival of Architecture, where the variations of the notions such as boundary, limits, walls, and openness will be discussed in the architectural context. In 2008, she graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture; and in 2011, she received her Master’s Degree in the Architectural Design Program of the university. Between 2010-2017 she served as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University. She worked on her joint PhD in Architecture at KU Leuven University in Genk and Brussels between 2014-2016 thanks to a TUBITAK initiative. She gave lectures as a studio tutor as a part of the International Master of Architecture Program at KU Leuven. She earned the Doctor title upon publishing her work ‘Experiments, Practices and Positions in Architectural Design Studios’ in 2017, in collaboration with KU Leuven and ITU Architectural Design. She has been giving lectures and conducting research at MEF University, Department of Architecture since 2017, working on subjects such as the new pedagogy and creative methods in architectural design, creative clusters, design-produce studios, bottom-up approaches, co-designing, exploring and experimentality.
